Name: Blue Moon Stone
Origin: Japan
Plant: 2-year-old live plant with strong roots
Rose Type: Shrub or Climber (versatile growth habit)
Color: Blue-purple blooms (fading to lavender-pink with age; turns pink or white in summer heat)
Fragrance: Light citrus-lemon scent
Plant Height: Officially 120 cm, but reaches up to 200 cm when grown in-ground
Flower: Diameter 6-8 cm, ~75 petals, delicate layered form
Characteristics:Blue Moon Stone combines ethereal beauty with surprising vigor. Its blue-purple blooms, densely packed with 75 petals, transition to softer lavender-pink as they mature, though summer heat diminishes color intensity to pale pink or white. The light citrus fragrance and compact growth (officially 120 cm, but stretching to 200 cm as a climber) make it ideal for trellises or garden borders. Despite its elegant appearance, the plant grows faster than typical 河本纯子 varieties, with upright stems, minimal thorns, and prolific branching that supports abundant clustered blooms. While disease resistance is generally good, it is prone to spider mites—preventative measures like improved airflow and targeted treatments are recommended. Seasonal limitations include brittle branches (handle with care during training) and reduced summer performance: flowers shrink, fade quickly, and lose structural appeal. Best enjoyed in spring and autumn, this rose rewards patient gardeners with striking color displays and graceful form, defying the "delicate" stereotype of Japanese-bred hybrids.

Bare root roses are live plants with seasonal availability. When you receive your rose will depend on your location. We will only ship roses within the right planting time for your area.
Bare root roses will be delivered between January and May, depending on your location. We only ship our roses when it is the right time to plant, and for this reason, shipping times may be affected by weather and may vary by location.
Please be aware that depending on when you order, your rose may not arrive until the following season.
We take great pride in the quality of our roses and much care into the handling and packaging of each order. We use FedEx for all shipments and realize that there are rare occasions that roses arrive in a condition we would find unacceptable. When that happens, please contact at support@rosesplant.com. We will do our best to ship you another box of the same or similar roses, provided we are not sold out. You may also decide to keep the purchase amount as credit for a future order.
Due to roses being perishable, we are not able to accept returns for any purchases.
