Inspired by its literary namesake, the Juliet Rose is one of the most iconic English roses ever introduced. Known for its exquisite antique cup-shaped blooms, this variety displays a breathtaking blend of deep peach centers and soft apricot outer petals, creating a warm, romantic gradient perfect for weddings, bouquets, or garden borders.
This rose features a densely layered, double-petal structure with a refined tea rose fragrance that is gentle yet elegant. Thanks to its exceptional vase life—often lasting 10 days or more—the Juliet Rose remains one of the most beloved choices in the cut-flower world.
As a shrub, the Juliet Rose is compact, slow-growing, and naturally graceful. It features good disease resistance and an exceptionally long blooming season with reliable multi-season repeat flowering. However, like many delicate English roses, it prefers dry conditions. During prolonged wet weather, buds may fail to open fully and the plant may become susceptible to powdery mildew, making good air circulation and well-drained soil essential.
1. Best Planting Time: Juliet Roses are best planted in spring or autumn for optimal root establishment. Skilled gardeners may transplant in summer with careful shading and watering. This variety adapts well to both containers and open-ground planting.
2. Watering & Fertilization: Juliet Rose thrives in nutrient-rich soil. Apply fertilizer before each blooming cycle to promote strong bud formation. During winter dormancy, a dose of well-composted organic fertilizer helps fuel abundant spring growth.
3. Pruning: Regular pruning is essential. Remove faded blooms after each flush to encourage continuous reblooming. Perform a structural prune during winter dormancy to maintain a tidy shape and promote vigorous spring growth.
4. Pest & Disease Prevention: While Juliet Rose has moderate disease resistance, healthier plants naturally resist pests more effectively. If issues like aphids or fungal spots appear, refer to the care guides on our website for suitable treatments. Ensuring proper airflow and avoiding over-watering greatly reduces disease pressure.
By following these key steps, even beginners can grow a lush, floriferous Juliet Rose with vibrant blooms and a long flowering season. With proper care, your Juliet Rose will produce abundant, breathtaking blossoms year after year.

We take great pride in the quality of our roses and much care into the handling and packaging of each order. We use FedEx for all shipments and realize that there are rare occasions that roses arrive in a condition we would find unacceptable. When that happens, please contact at support@rosesplant.com. We will do our best to ship you another box of the same or similar roses, provided we are not sold out. You may also decide to keep the purchase amount as credit for a future order.
Due to roses being perishable, we are not able to accept returns or refunds for any purchases.
The roses brought back childhood memories of my grandmother's garden. My kids now help care for these historic varieties. Packaging survived shipping to Maine intact.
The DA Juliet roses exceeded larger plants than my local nursery. Packaging was eco-friendly and secure. Customer service promptly answered my fertilizer questions via chat. 10/10
