The Queen of Sweden Rose, bred by David Austin in the United Kingdom, is admired worldwide for its upright form, refined pastel coloring, and classic English elegance. Its soft pink petals open from apricot-tinted buds into well-formed cup blooms, radiating a gentle myrrh fragrance. This variety is a favorite among florists and gardeners for its neatly layered petals, few thorns, and long stems ideal for cutting and floral arrangements.
With strong resistance to powdery mildew and moderate tolerance to heat, the Queen of Sweden Rose performs beautifully in USDA Zones 5–9. While its spring bloom is the most abundant, proper pruning and fertilization encourage repeat flowering through summer and autumn. It’s perfect for flower walls, arches, potted balcony gardens, and cutting gardens, adding timeless charm wherever it grows.
1. Is Queen of Sweden Rose fragrant?
Yes, it has a moderate myrrh-like fragrance that’s fresh and refined, especially noticeable in cooler weather.
2. Does it bloom repeatedly?
Absolutely. Though the first flush in spring is the most prolific, with proper care it can rebloom multiple times through the growing season.
3. Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes! With good sunlight, air circulation, and regular feeding, the Queen of Sweden Rose is easy to maintain even for new gardeners.
4. Can it be grown in pots?
Definitely. Its upright shape and compact size make it ideal for containers or balcony displays.
Bring home the Queen of Sweden Rose — a symbol of grace, resilience, and the timeless beauty of English gardens. 🌸

Bare root roses will be delivered between January and May, depending on your location. We only ship our roses when it is the right time to plant, and for this reason, shipping times may be affected by weather and may vary by location.
Please be aware that depending on when you order, your rose may not arrive until the following season.
We take great pride in the quality of our roses and much care into the handling and packaging of each order. We use FedEx for all shipments and realize that there are rare occasions that roses arrive in a condition we would find unacceptable. When that happens, please contact at support@rosesplant.com. We will do our best to ship you another box of the same or similar roses, provided we are not sold out. You may also decide to keep the purchase amount as credit for a future order.
Due to roses being perishable, we are not able to accept returns or refunds for any purchases.
